Booking by the hour: how many hours do you actually need?
October 1, 2026

Hourly cleaning is the simplest thing we sell: a trained cleaner arrives at the hour you choose and works for as long as you booked. The only decision that matters is how long.
Where the time goes
In a typical flat, the kitchen and the bathrooms take the largest share — they are the rooms with surfaces that need more than a wipe. Bedrooms and living areas go faster. Tidying before cleaning is what quietly consumes a visit: a floor covered in things takes twice as long to clear as it does to mop.
A rule that works
- A studio or a one-bedroom, kept in order: the shorter end.
- Two bedrooms, or one bedroom and a family: the middle.
- Three bedrooms or more, or a visit after guests: the longer end.
- Add time if the kitchen has been used heavily since the last visit.
Two cleaners instead of more hours
For a large home, two cleaners for half the time is usually better than one for the whole of it: there is less walking between rooms, and the visit is over before the day is.
What the hour does not include
Hourly visits are surface work. Inside the oven, inside the fridge and the wardrobe are add-ons, with their own time — pick them when you book and the visit is lengthened to fit, rather than squeezed.
