What a deep clean actually includes
August 5, 2026
"Deep clean" gets used loosely, and it is the main reason people are disappointed by one. Here is what separates it from a regular visit.
A regular clean keeps a home level
Surfaces, floors, bathrooms, kitchen exteriors, beds made, bins out. It maintains a home that is already in reasonable order, and in a Dubai flat it takes two to three hours.
A deep clean resets it
Everything above, plus the parts that only get attention a few times a year:
- Kitchen — inside the oven, behind and under appliances, extractor filter, inside cupboards, descaling the sink and taps
- Bathrooms — grout, shower screens, limescale on fittings, behind the toilet, extractor vent
- Throughout — skirting boards, door frames, light switches, plug sockets, tops of wardrobes, window tracks, AC vent covers
- Soft furnishings — under the sofa cushions and beneath the furniture rather than around it
Which one do you need?
If nobody has cleaned inside the oven or scrubbed the grout in six months, start with a deep clean and keep it level with regular visits afterwards. Booking regular cleans for a home that needs a reset means paying repeatedly for a job that never quite lands.
A deep clean of a two-bedroom flat usually takes four to six hours, which is why it is priced by duration rather than by room.
